Of course the distance from the ball will be determined by the club you’re using. That is true as to the angle or plane of the swing as well. The longer the club, the further from the ball you will stand, and the flatter the swing plane will be. The shorter the club, the closer you will be to the ball at address, and the steeper or more vertical the swing plane will be.
Typically the ball position should be sportsbetting sites here directly in front of your sternum, or just about in the middle of your stance as described by your feet. Your stance should be a little wider for longer clubs such as your long irons, fairway woods and your driver, and narrower for the shorter irons and wedges.
You’ll notice that your sternum position tends to be a little more forward when you are addressing the ball with a longer club, and a bit more toward the back foot when addressing the ball with a shorter club. Well get more into this in the next segment on Ball Position.
