Domenica 14 Gennaio 2007alle 18:00 alla Galleria Marconi si inaugura la personale di Alessandro Grimaldi, terzo appuntamento del rassegna “Nudi come vermi”. La mostra presenta un progetto intitolato Anatomy of a Murder (Anatomia di un Omicidio) al quale interverranno lo scrittore Lucilio Santoni e l’artista Ivana Spinelli, mentre il testo critico sarà di Luca Panaro. La mostra rientra nella programmazione di “Scie – luoghi quotidiani per linguaggi diversi”, organizzato dall'Assessorato alla Cultura della Provincia di Ascoli Piceno. Durante la serata Gianluca Tappata leggerà Anatomy of a murder, racconto scritto da Alessandro Grimaldi.

Anatomy of a Murder è un progetto nel quale interagiscono tra loro diverse operazioni artistiche, dalla pittura su tela, alla fotografia, al video, alla letteratura. Denominatore comune tra i diversi percorsi della mostra è la morte. Il punto di partenza nell’allestimento è il primo Snuff Movie della storia: l’omicidio Kennedy ripreso in diretta tv e ritrasmesso in tutto il mondo. Partendo dall’omicidio è proposto un viaggio attraverso l’America degli anni ’60 attraverso i suoi miti, i suoi simboli e le sue contraddizioni. L’omicidio Kennedy rappresenta a tutt’oggi uno dei grandi misteri insoluti del XX secolo, Grimaldi muovendo dalle contraddizioni dell’indagine ufficiale, segue e illustra quella che è la teoria del complotto.

Lo Snuff (letteralmente “tirare le cuoia”) rappresenta un vero è proprio filone cinematografico, che cerca di andare incontro al gusto macabro dello spettatore, attraverso la proposta di immagini violente riprese nel mondo reale.

Il progetto “Nudi come vermi” tende a creare un ponte fra diverse realtà artistiche, facendo nascere un contatto tra artisti giovani ed affermati e incontrando anche l’arte al di là dei confini nazionali. Solo in tal modo si può riuscire a vedere ed estrapolare il bello anche dalle più cupe realtà che ci circondano, in questo modo quello che normalmente è un modo di dire dispregiativo assume una nuova valenza estetica e diventa un nuovo canone di bellezza.

On Sunday 14th January 2007 at 18.00 at Marconi Gallery there will be the opening of Alessandro Grimaldi exposition. It’s the third appointment of “Naked as worms” shows. The exposition presents the project Anatomy of a murder – first volume. It’s the first act of a complex work which is devided into three parts. There will be the interventions of the writer Lucilio Santoni and of the artist Ivana Spinelli, while the critic text is by Luca Panaro. The exposition is part of the program “Scie – everyday places for different languages”, organized by the Culture Department of Ascoli Piceno province.

Anatomy of a murder is a project where different art operations: canvas painting, photography, video, literature, interact together. Death is the common denominator in the different paths of the exposition. The starting point of the show is the first Snuff Movie of the history: Kennedy murder filmed live by TV and then broadcasted all over the world. Starting from the murder, a voyage through America of the ’60 with its myths, its symbols and contradictions, is proposed. Kennedy murder still represents one of the big unsolved mysteries of the XXth century. Grimaldi starts from the official inquiry contradictions and then follows and explains the theory of the conspiracy.

“The installation made for Marconi gallery brings the visitor into the crime scene. On the ground a red carpet with a black shape refers to a murder. On the walls photo-painting works: a glance on the social American landscape of the sixties-seventies, a critical consideration about the mass media power. The visitor is given the condition to perceive what the artist has studied in this first part of the project and which he will continue in the other parts: the anatomy of a murder” (Luca Panaro).

The snuff is a real cinema tendency, that tries to satisfy the morbid taste of the audience through the violent images of the real world.

The project “Naked as worms” wants to build a bridge among the different art realities, through contacts between young and known artists but also meeting the international art. Only this way it’s possible to see and extract the beauty even from the darkest realities around us.This way what is normally a disparaging way of saying takes a new aesthetic value and becomes a new beauty standard.
