1999 is the show consequent to the second Siliqoon Lab, an independent residency program

aimed at the production of new works in collaboration with a network of selected local artisan

companies. The artists Antoine Renard and Libby Rothfeld were hosted by MAMbo at Sandra

Natali Residence and Xing/Raum in Bologna from the 19th to the 30th of September 2016. This

experience originated a new corpus of works that shaped the exhibition.

Antoine Renard (1984, FR) lives and works in Berlin. His work has been exhibited at S.A.L.T.S

(Basel), Atelier-ksr, Import Project, Gillmeier Rech Gallery and König Galerie, (Berlin), Parc Saint

Léger Centre d’art contemporain (Nevers), Galerie Chez Valentin (Paris), Kunsthalle Wien (Wien),

Museum Bärengasse (Zurich).

Libby Rothfeld (1990, USA), lives and works in New York. Her work has been exhibited at First

Continent (Baltimore), Swig Arts Center (Hightstown), Bodega, Canada Gallery, Commons

Gallery, Kimberly-Klark and Rosenberg Gallery (New York), Hide-Tide Gallery (Philadelphia),

Sydney-Sydney (Sydney).

In collaboration with MAMbo - Museo d’Arte Moderna in Bologna and with the support of

Marsèll, Xing, Confartigianato Assimprese Bologna Metropolitana and Museo Carlo Zauli.
