La Galleria Marconi presenta Art in Cities (AL MURO – arte ricercata), un’iniziativa no-profit curata da Sander Boshma, ideata e realizzata dalla “Galerie de Meerse” di Hoofddorp (Olanda), da Jeroen Boshma, da Ruud Boel, da Caspar van Ette e da Femke Hoogland ed è sponsorizzata dal Ministero dell’Istruzione, della Cultura e della Scienza olandese.

Con Art in Cities prende il via una collaborazione con la Galleria de Meerse, che permetterà ad alcuni artisti della Galleria Marconi di esporre in Olanda (il primo sarà Paolo Consorti a Febbraio 2006) mentre alcuni artisti olandesi esporranno alla Galleria Marconi (Peter de Boer a Marzo 2006).

Con questa operazione la Galleria Marconi oltre a cercare importanti collaborazioni internazionali, vuole permettere ai suoi artisti di farsi conoscere maggiormente all’estero, allargando così anche la conoscibilità dell’arte italiana.

Art in Cities (AL MURO – arte ricercata) è un’operazione artistica che vuole porre l’attenzione su una grande galleria d’arte: la Città, una galleria al cui interno si ricerca una mostra perennemente variabile. L’arte è presentata costantemente in ogni luogo, e non deriva dall’indirizzo che un’istituzione o la società vogliono darle, le opere qui sono brevi note personali, grandi progetti affascinanti o interessanti forme di protesta. Ecco che attraverso graffiti, posters, adesivi, stencil, ecc. i singoli artisti usano la città come una galleria d’arte.

In Art in Cities (AL MURO – arte ricercata) sono raccolti frammenti visivi in un’esposizione che abbraccia la città nei cinque continenti, un riassunto globale del paesaggio urbano, dove lo spazio espositivo diventa esso stesso argomento di una mostra.

Le foto esposte (attualmente sono circa 3500, ma il numero è in costante crescita), che possono essere inviate da chiunque, sono la testimonianza di un’arte “illegale” spesso anche anonima, La Galleria Marconi, prima galleria in Italia accoglie nei suoi spazi questa sintesi delle varie realtà urbane.

Marconi Gallery presents Art in Cities (ON THE WALL-hunted art), it’s a no profit iniziative organized by Sander Boshma, planned and realized by “Galerie de Merrse” in Hoofdorp (Holland), by Jeroen Boshmaa, Ruud Boel, Gaspar van Ette and Femke Hoogland, and sponsored by the Education, Culture and Science Holland Ministeries.

Art in Cities starts a cooperation with de Meerse Gallery, which will allow some artists of Marconi Gallery to hold expositions in Holland (Paolo Consorti will be the first, in February 2006).

Through this operation Marconi Gallery, besides looking for important international cooperation, wants to allow his artists to be better known abroad, widening this way the Italian art knowableness too.

Art in Cities (ON THE WALL-hunted art) is an art operation which wants to drive attention to a big art gallery: the City, a gallery that contains a continuously changeable exhibition inside itself.

Art is always present everywhere and it doesn’t come out from the direction an institution or society wants to give it; the works here are short personal notes, fascinating big projects or interesting examples of protest. This way the individual artists use the city as an art gallery through their graffitis, posters, stickers, stencils, etc.

Art in Cities (ON THE WALL-hunted art) gathers visual fragments in an exhibition that encloses the city in the five continents, a global summary of the urban landscape, where the exhibition area itself becomes subject of an exposition.

The photos on display (presently about 3500, but the number is continuously growing), which can be sent by anyone, are testifying of an “illegal” art which is often anonymous too. Marconi Gallery is the first in Italy to welcome this synthesis of the varied urban realities in his room.
