Esther Kläs – Corpo Naturale

SpazioA gallery ha il piacere di presentare Sabato 22 Settembre 2012 alle ore 18, "Corpo Naturale", prima mostra personale in Italia dell’artista tedesca Esther Kläs.
Nuove forme in resina e cemento, e strutture metalliche da appendere sono state realizzate dall’artista durante la sua permanenza a Pistoia. In quanto istallazione, le singole sculture entrano in comunicazione tra loro pur senza perdere la loro autonomia.

“Cosa si potrebbe scrivere su Corpo Naturale? Un corpo come il tuo e il mio. Come il tuo che non è il mio? Che è diverso da qualunque altro? Cosa scrivere a proposito dell’appendere delle forme, o dello appoggiarle a terra? Può la generosità delle parole rendere la verità della visione?

Vedere cos’è è vedere quel che c’è lì“.
Spostarsi o non spostarsi sono le uniche opzioni che si possono scegliere.
La scultura deve rimanere ferma, questo è il suo destino.”

Esther Kläs (*1981, Mainz, Germania) ha studiato alla Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (2001-2007) e ha conseguito un MFA all’Hunter College a New York (2008-2010).

SpazioA gallery is proud to present on Saturday September 22, 2012 at 6.00 p.m., "Corpo Naturale", the first solo show in Italy by the german artist Esther Kläs.
The artist produced the new concrete and resin forms and hanging metal structures during her stay in Pistoia. Throughout the installation, the individual sculptures, which remain entities, form a continuous communication.

“What could there be written about Corpo Naturale? A body like yours and mine. Like yours that is not like mine? That is like no other? What can there be written about hanging and lying forms? Can the generosity of words translate the truth of sight?

To see what it is is seeing what is there.
Moving around or not moving around is an option one can choose.
The sculpture has to remain still that is its destiny.”
