Segnala l'evento
The Exhibition, under the care of Romina Aliaj, is a voyage inside the artistic production of Giovanni Caleca – Kedalio.
His work may be divided into two moments: from one side the eighties, ruled by experimentation of the style, subjects and techniques, on the other side the nineties, marked by an attentive introspection that will lead to his strong artistic growth.
His works are archives of images, words, past and present emotions, where each object or face is driving us to something else.
In each work everything communicates in harmony. A body of tales where the character, the spot or the situation are placed at the same level.
The paintings are dominated by the irony, used as a magnifying glass, as a megaphone of the voice of the artist, as a media of a thought that goes much beyond the simple and superficial observation of the things.
What’s became of our capacity of understanding the world ? From where is deriving from our musical culture or artistic or cinematographic ?
These are some of the questions to which he try to answer, and from there he makes a kind of an encyclopaedic catalogue for the people that are not anymore able to look at the world to the right direction.
The paintings are made with a mixed technique that goes from acrylics to collage, and also where it seems predominate the stream of consciousness, everything is ruled by the laws of the rationality.
