In occasione del ‘Focus’ dedicato alla Gran Bretagna del Festival Internazionale del Cinema di Roma 2011, l’Accademia Britannica presenta un programma video intitolatoResponding to Rome, che verrà proiettato nel Sainsbury Lecture Theatre dell’Accademia il 4 novembre 2011 alle ore 17.30 e alle ore 18.40. Il programma, inedito in Italia, è stato parte della mostraResponding to Rome – British Artists in Rome 1995-2005, a cura di Jacopo Benci, tenuta presso la Estorick Collection di Londra nel 2006. Comprende video di artisti noti in Gran Bretagna e internazionalmente: Jordan Baseman, Louise Camrass, Marion Coutts, Dunhill & O’Brien, Mike Marshall, Pat Naldi, Smith/Stewart, Aaron Williamson. Caratteristica comune a tutte le opere è di essere state realizzate a Roma.

Il programma, della durata di 64 minuti, comprende i seguenti video: Jordan Baseman,Daniel (2003); Louise Camrass, Rino Ramazzotti (2002); Marion Coutts,epic (2000); Dunhill & O'Brien, Gates (2003); Mike Marshall, A Place Not Too Far Away(2005); Pat Naldi, High Noon at 12°21’8” (2000); Smith/Stewart, Lovers, Rome(2002); Aaron Williamson, Translation/Translatio (2003).





On the occasion of the UK ‘Focus’ event of this year’s Rome International Film Festival, The British School at Rome presents a video programme titledResponding to Rome, which will be screened in the BSR Sainsbury Lecture Theatre on Friday, 4 November 2011, at 5:30 and 6:40 PM. The programme, previously unseen in Italy, was part of the exhibitionResponding to Rome – British Artists in Rome 1995-2005, curated by Jacopo Benci, held at the Estorick Collection in London in 2006. It includes video works by British artists who have exhibited widely in the UK and internationally: Jordan Baseman, Louise Camrass, Marion Coutts, Dunhill & O’Brien, Mike Marshall, Pat Naldi, Smith/Stewart, Aaron Williamson. The common feature to the works is that they were all shot in Rome.
